Summing up the patriotic emulation movement in the period 2020-2025, the whole city has had many advanced examples recognized, honored and rewarded. Among them, 1,172 collectives and individuals received noble titles and awards from the Central Government; 21,761 collectives and individuals were rewarded by the Chairman of the Provincial and City People's Committees.
On the morning of October 18, the first Hai Phong City Patriotic Emulation Congress was solemnly held with the participation of more than 1,200 delegates.
At the Congress, the City Emulation and Commendation Council summarized and comprehensively evaluated the results of the emulation movement and reward work for the period 2020–2025; At the same time, set out directions and key tasks for the period 2025–2030. The Congress is also an opportunity to praise and honor outstanding and exemplary collectives and individuals in all fields and localities in the city.
Summing up the patriotic emulation movement in the period 2020-2025, the whole city has had many advanced examples recognized, honored and rewarded. Among them, 1,172 collectives and individuals were awarded Medals, Emulation Flags, Certificates of Merit and titles of National Emulation Soldiers by the Central Government; 21,761 other collectives and individuals were awarded Emulation Flags, Outstanding Labor Collective titles, Certificates of Merit and City-level Emulation Soldier titles by the Chairman of the City People's Committee.
At the Congress, many noble awards were awarded. Hai Phong city is honored to receive the Government's Emulation Flag. The City Party Committee Office was awarded the Second Class Independence Medal. Four units including the Office of the People's Committee of Hai Duong Province (now the Office of the People's Committee of Hai Phong City), the Department of Home Affairs of Hai Duong Province (now the Department of Home Affairs of Hai Phong City), the Department of Planning and Investment of Hai Duong Province (now the Department of Finance of Hai Phong City) and the Department of Health of Hai Phong City were awarded the First Class Labor Medal. Comrade Nguyen Van Tung, former Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, former Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee received the Third Class Independence Medal.
Also at the Congress, city leaders awarded certificates of merit to 50 outstanding groups out of 180 groups, individuals, households and businesses awarded certificates of merit by the Chairman of Hai Phong City People's Committee for their many contributions to the city's socio-economic development.
