Gathering the strength of the business community after the merger

The First Congress is the result of an elaborate preparation process to build a social-professional organization representing the common voice of the Port City's business community. The Congress agreed on the charter, operating directions and elected a new Executive Committee. Comrade Tran Van Thang was trusted to be elected Chairman of the City Business Association, term I, term 2026 - 2031.

Speaking at the Congress, Association Chairman Tran Van Thang emphasized: In the context of increasingly clear requirements for digital transformation and green transformation, the Association defines its role as not only a "bridge" but also a strong enough focal point to gather and support businesses in removing "bottlenecks" in production and business. The Association is committed to accompanying the city to improve the investment environment, promoting practical links between intra-regional and regional enterprises, contributing to making Hai Phong a modern industrial and marine economic center.
Building the Association into a real "extended arm" between government and businesses

Speaking at the Congress, City Party Committee Secretary Le Tien Chau affirmed that the birth of the Association after the merger is an inevitable step to gather the strength of the business team. As Honorary Chairman of the Association, he emphasized the city leaders' expectations of an organization with enough prestige and capacity to represent the common voice in the most responsible way.
The Secretary of the City Party Committee requested the Association to become an "extended arm" between the government and businesses through a practical coordination mechanism, ensuring all problems are received, synthesized and recommended for timely handling. In the new term, the Association needs to proactively lead its members to take the lead in digital transformation, green transformation and supply chain connection to improve international competitiveness, contributing to the city's breakthrough development goal in the 2026-2030 period.

Sharing from a professional perspective, Vice President of VCCI Vietnam Nguyen Quang Vinh highly appreciated the solidarity spirit of Hai Phong businesses in quickly stabilizing the organization. He expected the Association to maximize its role in supporting members to raise governance standards, meet the strict standards of the international market and affirmed that VCCI will always accompany in national-level trade and investment promotion activities.
The Congress also expressed gratitude to the former leaders of the previous Associations who did not continue to participate in the new term, recognizing their persistent contributions to the growth of the city's business team over the past time./.
