Comrade Le Trung Kien, Head of Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board awarded the adjusted investment certificate to LG Display Vietnam Co., Ltd., Hai Phong (LGD). Accordingly, LGD invested an additional 1.4 billion USD, bringing the total investment capital in Hai Phong to 4.65 billion USD, becoming the project with the largest investment capital in the city. With this investment, the company increased plastic OLED screen output from 9.6-10 million products/month to 13-14 million products/month. It is expected that export revenue will increase by about 6.5 billion USD/year; contribute about 25 million USD/year to the budget, creating more jobs for 10,000 workers.
Mr. Suk Myung Su, General Director of LGD, expressed his joy and strong impression when the project received special attention from Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung, Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Management Board of Hai Phong Economic Zone, and related industries, so the project adjusted the additional capital to complete procedures and be granted an investment certificate in just 3 days. This is truly a remarkable reform in administrative procedures, creating maximum conditions for businesses. LGD will try its best to quickly deploy and put the project into operation.
Comrade City Party Secretary Tran Luu Quang gave flowers to congratulate LGD Company. He hopes that the company will continue to promote the results achieved, speed up the progress of investment projects, and actively contribute to the development of the city.
LGD Company was first certified in 2016 with a total investment of 1.5 billion USD, producing plastic OLED screens for mobile devices, OLED television screens, LCD screens... Thanks to Hai Phong's continuously improved investment environment and high investment efficiency of businesses, LGD continuously adjusts to increase investment capital and expand production scale. After 7 adjustments, with 4 capital increases, 2 times in 2021 alone, LGD's total investment capital in Hai Phong has now reached 4.65 billion USD. In 2020, LGD achieved export revenue of more than 9 billion USD, creating jobs for 14,000 workers; contributed 19.4 million USD to the budget./.
