Leaders of two localities inspect the bridge project.(Haiphong.gov.vn) - On the afternoon of December 19, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Binh and leaders of the city's functional branches inspected the preparations to hold the inauguration ceremony of the Hoa River bridge, connecting Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong city and Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province. Also attending the inspection, on the Thai Binh province side, there was comrade Nguyen Hong Dien, Member of the Central Party Committee, Secretary of the Thai Binh Provincial Party Committee.
The investment project to build Hoa River Bridge started on May 9, 2019. Up to now, the bridge and ramp construction items at both ends of the bridge have been basically completed. Currently, contractors are focusing on covering the asphalt concrete section connecting the foot of the bridge slope with the existing road (expected to be completed on December 21, 2019); slope embankment, preparing to install guardrails, paint road markings, install traffic signs (expected to be completed before December 25, 2019)....

Through inspection and listening to reports, leaders of the two localities requested relevant departments, branches, localities and units of the two localities to coordinate in ensuring traffic safety, political security - social order and safety, ensuring that the inauguration ceremony of the project takes place solemnly, safely and effectively.
The Hoa River bridge construction investment project connecting Vinh Bao district, Hai Phong with Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province started construction in May this year. This is the first project to realize the goal of developing regional connectivity in the spirit of Resolution 45 of the Politburo on building and developing Hai Phong city to 2030, with a vision to 2045. When completed, the pontoon bridge system on the route will be completely eliminated, connecting trade between localities, forming a modern inter-regional transport network, meeting the requirements of socio-economic development. The project is expected to be completed and put into use on December 28, 2019.

Inspecting at the scene, the Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee criticized Vinh Bao district for being too slow in land clearance work. There are still 2 households in Dong village, Tam Da commune that have not been resolved yet. The Standing Vice Chairman requested the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee to urgently direct the District People's Committee, Party Committee - Tam Da Commune People's Committee to completely resolve site clearance work on the route; Currently, in addition to 2 households in Tam Da commune, on the route from Junction 3 - Doan Lap - Cau Han to Highway 37, there are 3 households in Tam Cuong commune, Hoa Binh that are obstructing the construction contractor, affecting the overall progress of the project.
