Tan Cang Hai Phong international container port: Welcoming the new service route of ZIM shipping line directly to Australia

On August 21, 2021, Tan Cang Hai Phong International Container Terminal (TC-HICT) successfully welcomed the AS CAROLINA ship operated by ZIM shipping line, directly connecting Australia with Vietnam. This is a new maritime service route that is expected to meet the increasing demand for container transportation in Southeast Asia.

The AS CAROLINA has the route Xiamen-Ningbo-Shanghai-Sydney-Melbourne-Brisbane-Hai Room-Xiamen.

ZIM shipping line's ship AS CAROLINA has a tonnage of 39,156 DWT with a carrying capacity of 2,800 TEU containers. The 222m long ship, operating on the China Australia Express (CAX) service, will alternately call at TC-HICT Port every Tuesday. The CAX service route directly connects Vietnam with Australia with a stable schedule from: Xiamen-Ningbo-Shanghai-Sydney-Melbourne-Brisbane-Hai Phong-Xiamen.
