According to the DDCI assessment report of Hai Phong city in 2024, super storm Yagi has caused major impacts on businesses, cooperatives, and business households (DN/Cooperative/HKD).
Survey results show that the majority of businesses/cooperatives/businesses suffered damage from the storm:
– 14.26% of businesses/cooperatives suffered very heavy losses, nearly double that of businesses, which accounted for only 9.11%;
– 64.96% of businesses/cooperatives and 51.56% of business households recorded little damage;
– Only a low percentage is not affected (39.33% of HKDs, 20.78% of businesses/cooperatives).
To overcome the damage after super typhoon Yagi, government agencies quickly implemented policies to support production and business for businesses/cooperatives/businesses. The DDCI survey shows that more than 80% of businesses/cooperatives/businesses assess that agencies have promptly taken measures and policies to support stable production and business. However, there are still about 4% of businesses/cooperatives/HKDs saying that support measures are still slow and not timely./.
