In the first 8 months of 2021, goods through Hai Phong Port reached nearly 20 million tons

According to Hai Phong Port Joint Stock Company, in August 2021, the output of goods through the company's port branches reached 2.245 million tons, down about 200,000 tons compared to July 2021. The reason for the slight decrease in goods passing through the port is due to the complicated situation of the COVID-19 epidemic, affecting the production and supply chain of goods. In addition, disturbed ship schedules and adverse weather conditions (storms, floods) also cause many difficulties in the Port's production and exploitation work.

Although the amount of goods through Hai Phong Port's branches in August decreased, due to high growth in previous months, by the end of 8 months of 2021, goods through the entire port reached nearly 20 million tons, including many cars imported to the port by RoRo ships. Notably, in August 2021, Hai Phong Port continued to welcome 164 ships (an increase of 3 ships compared to July), of which container ships reached 91 ships (a decrease of 12 ships compared to July), bringing the total number of ships arriving at the Port in 8 months of 2021 to 1,439 ships. To ensure production and business development and quick release of ships and goods, Hai Phong Port invested in additional 15 cars at Tan Vu branch, specializing in transportingn goods in the port, contributing to further improving the capacity of vehicles and equipment, meeting all customer service requirements with the highest quality.

Currently, the COVID-19 epidemic prevention and control work at units is implemented synchronously by Hai Phong Port, ensuring safety and efficiency in goods delivery and receipt activities, ensuring production and business activities are maintained and stable, contributing to the safety of the seaport area and the city./.
