On the afternoon of April 28, comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Prime Minister and the Working Group along with city leaders came to offer incense at the Memorial of the City's Heroic Martyrs and the Monument of Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh in the campus of the Vietnam - Czechoslovakia Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, on the occasion of the 51st Anniversary of the Liberation of the South, National Reunification and International Labor Day on May 1.

In a solemn and respectful atmosphere, comrade Le Minh Hung, Politburo member, Prime Minister and the city's leadership delegation observed a moment of silence to remember the heroic souls of heroic martyrs; Offering incense and wreaths, paying tribute to the great contributions of the heroic martyrs who did not spare blood and bones, courageously fought and sacrificed for the cause of national liberation, national unification, for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, and for the happiness of the people.
In front of the heroic spirits of the heroic martyrs, the delegates vowed to follow in the footsteps of the previous generation of their fathers, make efforts to overcome all difficulties, strive to successfully complete assigned political tasks, and contribute to building the country and Hai Phong city to become increasingly strong, civilized, rich and beautiful.

Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh - Prominent leader of the Communist movement, founder of the Red Trade Union (predecessor of today's Vietnam General Confederation of Labor) and the first Secretary of the City Party Committee of Hai Phong city.
