In order to join hands with businesses to facilitate trade and import-export activities, on the morning of March 20, 2024, the People's Committee of Hai Phong city organized a dialogue conference with import-export businesses in 2024 with the theme "Cooperation - Development - Efficiency".
Chairing the conference were Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Hoang Minh Cuong, Director of the City Customs Department, leaders of departments, branches, branches and leaders of VCCI HP and 350 delegates attending the conference.
At the Conference, 25 recommendations from 12 businesses were received and directly responded to out of a total of 78 recommendations received from 800 businesses surveyed. The recommendations focus on 8 field groups of the business community. These are (1) Problems with specialized management policies; legal regulations in the field of import and export; (2) Propose that the city consider exempting or reducing fees for the city's infrastructure and seaport services and coordinate between agencies to improve fee collection efficiency; (3) Recommendation to reflect on the situation of increased sea freight rates, fees and surcharges related to imported and exported goods set by foreign shipping lines, warehouse, yard and port businesses that are unreasonably high (such as CIC fees, lifting fees, shell betting).containers, container cleaning,...), congestion at empty container delivery/return yards; (4) Digital transformation work of the city in general and Departments/Departments/Industries in particular; (5) Procedures and regulations for issuance of C/O; (6) Proposals related to upgrading transportation infrastructure connected to the seaport system to develop logistics services in the city; (7) Time to implement processes and procedures of a number of specialized management agencies in the city; (8) Regarding the construction of social housing and kindergartens in industrial zones.

On this occasion, the People's Committee of Hai Phong city also recognized the contributions to socio-economic development of effective FDI enterprises. Accordingly, Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Tung awarded Certificates of Merit to 48 FDI enterprises with excellent achievements in export, contributing to increasing revenue for the State budget.
