Last year, the city's business community made efforts to overcome difficulties and continuously grow. Currently, the entire city has more than 22,000 operating businesses, including 3,521 newly established businesses, an increase of nearly 9.31% compared to 2022. Some businesses are in the Top 500 largest enterprises in Vietnam such as: Vinfast, Tien Phong Plastic, Viet Phat, LG companies, Vietnam Shipping, Hai Phong Port, Hoang Huy,... Businesses have made quite large contributions to the city budget, reached more than 16,000 billion VND, accounting for nearly 37% of total revenue. Of which, central and local state-owned enterprises located in the area contributed 2,512 billion VND, accounting for 5.8% of total revenue; FDI enterprises contributed 5,760 billion VND, accounting for 13.25% of total revenue; boring blockNon-state-owned enterprises contributed nearly 7,749 billion VND, accounting for 17.93% of total revenue. There are 9 businesses paying tax of over 500 billion VND, 22 businesses paying from 100 to 500 billion VND, 25 businesses paying from 50 to nearly 100 billion VND, 195 businesses paying from 10 billion to nearly 50 billion VND.

In addition to making a large contribution to the city budget, the business community also actively participates in community and social security activities, such as building charity houses, supporting families with meritorious services and poor households, and actively supporting funding for fireworks displays on the occasion of the Red Poinciana Festival and Lunar New Year.
