Opening of the First Session of the 17th City People's Council, term 2026 - 2031

On the morning of April 20, the XVII City People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, held the opening session of the First Session to elect the positions of the People's Council, People's Committee, and People's Jurors of the City People's Court; At the same time, consider, evaluate, and approve the contents within your authority and according to the law.

In his opening speech at the meeting, Chairman of the City People's Council Le Van Hieu said that at the election of National Assembly deputies and People's Council deputies at all levels for the 2026 - 2031 term, city voters promoted their ownership, participated in the election with a high sense of responsibility, and selected 85 city-level People's Council deputies. This is an important political basis to form the 17th City People's Council, term 2026 - 2031, representing the will, aspirations and ownership of the People.

The first session is an important session to elect the positions of the People's Council, People's Committee, and People's Jurors of the City People's Court; Consider approving 17 Resolutions submitted by the City People's Committee, under the duties and powers of the City People's Council, to promptly resolve common tasks of socio-economic development, focusing on 03 main issue groups: allocation of public investment resources, infrastructure development and land management; financial mechanisms and policies; social security, education and human resource development policies.

This is also the first meeting for the newly elected People's Council delegates to fully exercise their rights and obligations according to the provisions of law. Each decision, each vote not only demonstrates the political opinions and bravery of the delegates, but is also a trust and a measure of prestige before voters and the people of the city.
