On May 26, the Hai Phong City delegation led by comrade Le Trung Kien, Member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board, surveyed and worked at the Yunnan Free Trade Pilot Zone - Hong Ha subdivision (China). Joining the delegation were representatives of the Departments of Construction, Finance, Foreign Affairs and Cat Hai district.

The delegation surveyed: Ha Khau smart border gate area; Ba Sai management and supervision area; Road bridge across the Red River connecting Bat Xat (Vietnam) - Ba Sai (China); Hong Ha subdivision one-stop service center and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation with the Management Board of Yunnan Free Trade Pilot Zone - Hong Ha subdivision.
The delegation also held talks with leaders of Hong Ha province, He Khau district and Noi Giang city (Sichuan).
At the meeting, the Hai Phong Economic Zone Management Board and the Yunnan Free Trade Pilot Zone Management Board - Hong Ha subdivision signed a Memorandum of Cooperation, agreeing on a number of contents: Friendly relations and comprehensive exchanges, establishing and maintaining friendly cooperative relations; Organize delegation exchanges at all levels to share experiences in managing and developing industrial parks, economic zones, and free trade zones. Investment promotion cooperation, coordination in organizing investment promotion events in Hai Phong and Yunnan; Support businesses from both sides to survey and understand the environment and business cooperation opportunities in industrial parks, economic zones, and free trade zones.
Linking industries and business cooperation, further strengthening cooperation in the field of cross-border logistics between the two sides; Encourage and support the formation of cross-border industrial chains; Strengthen connection and direct cooperation between businesses of both sides through information sharing and organizing networking events. Share experiences and support development, share experiences in building and operating models of industrial parks, economic zones, and free trade zones (including documents, lessons, policy mechanisms, and management processes); exchange and propose initiatives for institutional innovation in relevant fields and scopes to create a favorable investment and business environment; Organize and support groups to learn from experiences and conduct field surveys.
The cooperation memorandum aims to concretize the Agreement on implementing friendly exchanges between local Party Committees between Hai Phong City Party Committee, Communist Party of Vietnam and Yunnan Provincial Party Committee, Communist Party of China. Enhance the realization of commitments of the Economic Corridor Cooperation Conference of 5 provinces and cities: Quang Ninh, Hai Phong, Hanoi, Lao Cai (Vietnam) and Yunnan (China) through creating extensive and effective strategic linkages between two important economic regions on the economic corridor. At the same time, enhance the exchange and sharing of in-depth experience on successful models in planning, construction, management and operation of industrial parks, economic zones, and free trade zones, in order to improve competitiveness and increase benefits for the development of each party./.
