The City People's Committee has just issued Decision 2716/QD-UBND on consolidating members of the Steering Committee against smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in Hai Phong city (Steering Committee 389/HP), to ensure consistency and synchronization with the organizational structure of the national Steering Committee 389, and at the same time meet practical requirements when some members of the Steering Committee have changes in their working positions.
The consolidation is to ensure the leadership, direction, and administration of Steering Committee 389/HP is smooth and timely, improving the effectiveness of the fight against smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods in the city.
According to the Decision, the City People's Committee amended Article 1 of Decision No. 3417/QD-UBND dated August 22, 2025 on consolidating members of the Steering Committee 389/HP. Comrade Hoang Minh Cuong, Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, holds the position of Head of the Steering Committee.
The Deputy Heads of the Committee include comrades: Nguyen Hoang Long, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade, holding the position of Standing Deputy Head of the Committee; Colonel Bui Trung Thanh, Deputy Director of the City Police, holds the position of Deputy Head of the Department.
Participating in the Steering Committee are also representatives of leaders of departments, branches, functional forces and related agencies of the city, including: Department of Agriculture and Environment; Department of Science and Technology; Department of Home Affairs; Department of Finance; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Health service; Department of Construction; Department of Justice; City Military Command; City tax; State Bank Branch Region 6; City Inspector; Customs Branch Region III; Coast Guard Region 1 Command; Border Guard Squadron 38; Department of Industry and Trade; Market Management Department; City Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Hai Phong Newspaper, Radio and Television.
According to the Decision, the Department of Industry and Trade is the Standing Agency of Steering Committee 389/HP, responsible for advising and assisting the Head of the Steering Committee in coordinating the Steering Committee's activities; Coordinate with departments, branches and functional forces to effectively deploy the work of preventing and combating smuggling, trade fraud and counterfeit goods in the city.
The consolidation of Steering Committee 389/HP contributes to consolidating the inter-sectoral coordination mechanism, improving the effectiveness of direction and administration, meeting the requirements of fighting and preventing acts of smuggling, trade fraud and the production and trading of counterfeit goods in the new situation./.
