On December 2, 2023, the Prime Minister approved Decision No. 1516/QD-TTg on Hai Phong City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050. There, Cua Hoat - Quan Thang Industrial Cluster, in An Lao district is one of 31 industrial clusters planned in the Hai Phong City Industrial Cluster Development Plan for the 2021 period. – 2030. Article 5 of Decree 32/2024/ND-CP dated March 15, 2024 of the Government on management and development of industrial clusters stipulates: “Building and integrating industrial cluster development plans into provincial planning”. Therefore, the establishment of Cua Hoat - Quan Thang Industrial Cluster is consistent with the industrial cluster development plan as well as Hai Phong City Planning for the period 2021 - 2030, with a vision to 2050.
On August 20, 2024, the Evaluation Council to select the investor for the Cua Hoat - Quan Thang industrial cluster technical infrastructure construction project, An Lao district (established under Decision No. 2693/QD-UBND dated July 31, 2024 of the City People's Committee) held a meeting to evaluate and select the investor for the Cua Hoat - Quan Thang industrial cluster technical infrastructure construction project, An Lao district.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Chairman of the Council for Evaluation and Selection of Investors for the Cua Hoat - Quan Thang Industrial Cluster Technical Infrastructure Construction Project, Mr. Hoang Minh Cuong; Attending the meeting were Council members including representatives of the Departments of Industry and Trade, Planning and Investment, Finance, Agriculture and Rural Development, Industry and Trade, Construction, Natural Resources and Environment, Transport and leaders of the People's Committee of An Lao district and representatives from the joint venture of Hai Phong Industrial Park Joint Stock Company and Plastic Chemical Group Joint Stock Company.
The Cua Hoat - Quan Thang industrial cluster technical infrastructure construction project is expected to make an important contribution to the economic development of An Lao district, promoting investment and creating many job opportunities for local people.
